The Winners of the 2021 One-Liner Competition

The Wolfram Language is renowned for simplicity and brevity, and nowhere was that more apparent than at the 10th annual One-Liner Competition, held at the Wolfram Virtual Technology Conference. The contest challenges conference attendees to create the best program possible in 128 characters or fewer (the original length limit of a tweet). With prizes awarded for the three best submissions, competition this year was fierce, but the judges, with only minor bloodshed, were able to settle on a slate of awardees.

Wolfram Neural Networks Boot Camp Recap: Dog vs. Butterfly Optical Illusion Showdown

Neural networks are increasingly a part of society and are used in many aspects of life, especially e-commerce and social media. I recently had the opportunity to attend the Wolfram Neural Networks Boot Camp with developers and researchers who design and utilize Wolfram Language neural net resources. During the boot camp, participants received a crash course on using neural nets in the Wolfram Language.

A Virtual Face-off: Replaying the 2020 Livecoding Championship

In early October, by what at this point can only be a time-honored tradition, the Livecoding Championship returned in its fifth annual iteration as a special event during the 2020 Wolfram Technology Conference. As in preceding years, the championship offered top Wolfram Language programmers a chance to show off their knowledge, agility, typing speed and documentation-reading skills to an unfailingly adoring audience.
