Opening Keynote, Developer Interviews and the Livecoding Championship

October 28, 2019 — Sylvia Haas, Social Media Specialist, Public Relations

Today marks the start of our annual Wolfram Technology Conference. We’re looking forward to hearing about the latest innovations in computation from our Wolfram technology users! The conference is a great way to network with other users and find out what’s new at Wolfram and in our community. If you aren’t attending this year, you can still connect with the conference through our broadcast events.

Opening Keynote

We’ll kick off the conference Monday evening with Stephen Wolfram’s keynote. Our CEO will talk about the state of Wolfram technology, sharing new directions and future goals for the company. Tune in on Twitch, Facebook Live or YouTube Live Monday, October 28 starting at 6pm CT to see this presentation live.

Tech Talk Interviews

Throughout the week, we’ll also be streaming several Tech Talks featuring interviews with Wolfram employees about their latest projects. These talks give a taste of the topics discussed at the conference, from medical imaging to blockchain, as well as updates and previews of Wolfram Language and Wolfram SystemModeler features. You can catch these talks on YouTube Live or Facebook Live throughout Tuesday and Wednesday, October 29–30. In the meantime, you can take a look at last year’s talks:

Livecoding Championship

On Wednesday evening, we’ll be holding our fourth annual Livecoding Championship, a chance for talented and creative Wolfram Language users to compete for various prizes by showing off their coding prowess. Contestants will test their abilities with challenges in visualization, audio processing and a range of other computational areas. Anyone at the conference is free to compete—and the turnout gets more diverse and impressive every year! Everyone else can check out Twitch, Facebook Live or YouTube Live at 9pm CT on Wednesday, October 30 to watch the competition (along with running commentary). For a preview of the event, check out last year’s competition:

These streaming events are only a small part of what the Wolfram Technology Conference has to offer. If you like what you see, consider joining us in person next time. Maybe you could be the next Livecoding Champion!
