		<description>It would be interesting to generalize these designs in order to find a mathematical formula governing all the possible combinations of geometrical shapes given a bounded region. For example having a formula to show hexagons alone will form a sphere (soccer ball); bricks and half-bricks can be laid in a herringbone pattern to fill a rectangular space, etc. 
Is there any relationship Towle every found linking all of his designs?</description>
